Creating a side spin is not that hard. It works really well when used at the right times. The key is to keep you opponent honest and guessing. Otherwise, he / she will pick up on your spin and use it against you.

The way to accomplish a side spin is to move the racket sideways towards your core. For example you start swinging from one corner or side of the table towards your core or abdomen.

There are 2 big names that seem to control the market¬†Kettler and Stiga. Stiga seems to be more popular for indoor heavy duty ping pong tables. They are very durable and highly rated by consumers. Kettler on the other hand comes second to Stiga; However it’s considered a decent table.

At the end of the day it’s not the table that makes the player its his or her skills that make the difference. So whatever your playing on; make sure to have fun and bring it on!

This will rob your opponent from time. In otherwords; you surprise your opponent and you make him work a lot harder on the court to cover the return of all these balls.

Same thing in pingpong; if you get into the habit of hitting the balls as soon as they land on your side of the table; it helps you become a better player and be more aggressive player as well.

Most probably what’s happening is your being played with a very strong spin from your opponent. The best way is to figure out what kind of spin he is hitting and try to do the opposite spin; that way you can negate the spin and you will be able to return the serve with no problems.

It could be a side spin or under spin, tops spin etc.. Good Luck!

The beauty of Ping Pong is how you apply different spins on different shots, Anyone can hit the ball flat with power. The difference is when you hit flat you tend to miss more shots; if you hit Spin you would be playing a smarter ball and a safer ball at the same time.

Go ahead and check out the Videos I have on the site to learn more about putting a spin on the ball. Any Suggestions please drop me an email!

I have learned that the best way to get better in anything is practice practice practice. The key in Ping Pong is to try new shots and new spins. For example, try the side spin when your playing your opponent then mix it up to top spin.

Look under the Strokes section and view the videos to learn how to do the spins. Every Ping Pong player has a secret weapon. They only use it when they need it, it could be a special serve they use or a special spin. Every player should have a trick or two to use when they are pressured and on the edge of losing the game.

Learn a few tips and apply them on your friends.

Keep the face of the racquet facing about 45 degree angle down the table. Once you get the ball high on your end of the table attempt to kind of whip it like you were showing your driving license to the cop. I hope you can see what I mean by that, in any case I’m planning on adding more videos to the site and making them a lot nicer down the road.
